Luke just walked from the coffee table to the couch.  Granted it was only 2 steps that may have been more of a lunge but he still did it.  FINALLY! 

His vocab is really picking up too.  It seems like he’s repeating more and more every day.  He can say a lot:  dada, mama, bird, mac (which sounds more like aaaac, like he’s hacking up some snot), birdie, grandma, grandpa, doggy, woof, and moo (sounds very similar to woof).  He’s really into books too.  I think I’ve read Moo, Baa, La La La about a hundred times in the past few days.  I love this age.  I think I say that at just about every stage once they hit one but I really do love this one.  It’s like they finally get it.     

Have a fun and safe 4th tomorrow!  We’re planning on going up to VillageFest in the morning like we do every year, eat dinner with my family, get some ice cream and then head out to watch the fireworks outside of Meadowbrook Country Club.  We found the best spot last year and I’m hoping we’ll get it again this year.
