Luke’s 5 year stats

Luke had his 5 year check-up today, which included all of his shots for kindergarten (poor guy).

Height:  42 3/4 inches

Weight:  40 lb.

BMI:  15.4

(And for the record, Luke had a party with his friends at Pump It Up in the afternoon and then our families came over to celebrate that night.  I still cannot believe my baby is five!)

Kenny received ten one dollar coins in a card that he received for his First Communion. He was trying to tell us about a (non-monetary) coin that his friend, Harrison, had.

Kenny: “It has the guy that gave cars away to the poor and had a car museum….”
Me: “Ford?”
Kenny: “You know, the guy who died on the toilet.”.
Me: “Elvis?”
Kenny: “Yeah, Elvis.”

I’m sure that’s what Elvis wanted to be remembered for.

R&D

Family members -

Kenny’s pumpkin drawing is going to be shown at the R&D forum on Saturday, April 28 (1-4pm) and Sunday, April 29 (1-3pm).  The R&D forum is at West again this year.

First Communion

We’re celebrating the fact that Kenny received the sacrament of First Communion today!

 

 

 

Spring sports in pictures 2012

This spring is just as hectic as our fall was (by choice).  Kenny is playing soccer and flag football and Luke is playing soccer.

Happy Easter 2012!

Our day went like this:

• Easter baskets at our house, along with an egg hunt

• Church with my family
• Easter baskets, egg hunt and a huge, delicious lunch with my parents

• Easter baskets, drinks and desserts with Eric’s family

I do also have a picture of the boys with the Easter bunny to put on here but it requires taking the computer upstairs to connect it to the printer/scanner.  Tomorrow, maybe?

I always feel like we dye our Easter eggs at the last minute and this year was no exception:)

I made this Crock Pot Buffalo Chicken yesterday and you wouldn’t believe how good it was.  Everybody – kids and adults – loved it and Eric even said that it may be his favorite meal that I make.  If you like buffalo wings, you’ll LOVE it.  The best part was that it is amazingly easy to make.  You can even throw the chicken in while it’s still frozen.  I did make a little change.  I only added 4 large chicken breasts instead of the 3 pounds that the recipe calls for.  Even though I cut back on the chicken, I still added the entire bottle of buffalo sauce.  We had enough for dinner last night for the four of us and leftovers tonight.  We put the chicken on rolls with pepper jack cheese.  Yum.
