Luke had his last t-ball game last night. He was funny because he didn’t want to play t-ball, he wanted to play coach pitch. I could be wrong but I think next year is t-ball too. He may have to wait a while:)

Kenny and his friend, Arden, had their birthday party together this year. We went with a backyard movie theme, along with some baseball on the side, in case anyone got a little antsy.
We started off with baseball.
And then we did the cake and presents next since it was still light out. Arden’s mom made the cutest popcorn cupcakes. She used marshmallows (cut on the top) to look like the actual popcorn and then sprayed it with yellow food spray. Then, she stuck a yellow Starburst on top to look like the butter. They were really tasty too. To keep with our movie theme, I found these popcorn party favor bags and we stuffed them with popcorn, movie candy and poppers and placed them around the cupcakes.
And then it was time for the movie and popcorn. Anita rented a projector and speaker and we hung a drop cloth up to show the movie on. Some of the boys left half-way through the movie and started playing baseball again and others sat and watched the whole thing. We didn’t care, as long as they were having fun.
Happy (almost) 8th birthday, Kenny – I hope you had fun celebrating with your friends!
Luke came from preschool on Monday with a note saying that hand, foot and mouth was going around his class. One day later, he was complaining about his mouth hurting and had bumps on his feet. It happens but it really stinks that he will miss his LAST day of preschool tomorrow and the family picnic on Thursday.

Luke had his 5 year check-up today, which included all of his shots for kindergarten (poor guy).
Height: 42 3/4 inches
Weight: 40 lb.
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday, dear Luke,
Happy birthday to you!
I love you to infinity one hundred and beyond,
(And for the record, Luke had a party with his friends at Pump It Up in the afternoon and then our families came over to celebrate that night. I still cannot believe my baby is five!)
Our day went like this:
Easter baskets at our house, along with an egg hunt
Church with my family
Easter baskets, egg hunt and a huge, delicious lunch with my parents
- Easter baskets, drinks and desserts with Eric’s family
I do also have a picture of the boys with the Easter bunny to put on here but it requires taking the computer upstairs to connect it to the printer/scanner. Tomorrow, maybe?
Our Spring Break consisted of:
- Sleeping in really late almost every day
- Playing outside a ton (the weather was BEAUTIFUL)
- Going to see The Lorax
- Taking a day trip to the Omaha Zoo
- Going to Union Station to see a movie about the Titanic and the Titanic Exhibition
- Having my car towed on the way home from Union Station and paying almost $1000 on repairs
- Playing baseball at the park with friends
Besides the car repair stuff, we had a nice and relaxing long Spring Break.

We took a quick trip to Omaha on Friday to go to the zoo. I WISH we would have had tournament tickets because the Jayhawks were playing there that night. The zoo was fun – their indoor stuff is so much better than KC’s (but KC’s outdoor stuff is better than theirs). Luke was kind of funny because he’s not normally afraid of things. We saw the desert dome as we were driving up and he automatically said that he was afraid to go in it. He went in it later without any problems but it was a funny little start to our day. We ended up driving longer than we were in the actual zoo but it was a fun day and nice to get away.
